How it works
The needles penetrate the skin to a selected depth and deliver bipolar RF energy, producing controlled thermal injury in the dermal tissue. The intended biological response is collagen remodeling and elastin regeneration, while the microneedling component provides controlled mechanical injury.
NYLO’s system includes an Enhanced Delay function. According to the manufacturer, this is designed so RF delivery and needle withdrawal are controlled to reduce unwanted epidermal heating and the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Intended aesthetic applications
NYLO lists applications including:
- Skin tightening
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Acne-scar improvement
- Skin texture and tone
- Enlarged pores
- Scar reduction
- Stretch marks
- Jowl and neck tightening
- Eyebrow lifting
- Double-chin treatment
- Skin rejuvenation
- Hair restoration
Treatment tips
The Nouvelle can use non-insulated RF needle tips. NYLO states that its 25-pin non-insulated tip delivers RF energy along the needle shaft and is designed to enter the skin while hot and retract cold. The manufacturer also describes these tips as suitable for all skin types and compatible with PRP treatments.
Nouvelle vs. PiXel8-RF
An important point if you’re identifying a machine: NYLO currently also markets the PiXel8-RF. Its specifications overlap considerably with Nouvelle, and NYLO explicitly states that Nouvelle and PiXel8-RF are the same model, while the PiXel8-RF is presented with a more portable/tabletop configuration.
NYLO identifies itself as an aesthetic medical-device distributor serving dermatology, plastic-surgery, cosmetic-practice and medical-spa markets.
