How it works
The MLX is carried using an ergonomic harness. The operator walks through the building or site while the LiDAR continuously measures the surroundings. SLAM calculates the scanner’s trajectory, while visual odometry from the additional cameras helps support positioning. A touchscreen provides live feedback on trajectory and scan coverage.
It can also capture control points, allowing the resulting point cloud to be aligned with survey information from instruments such as total stations and GNSS rovers.
